For the past 12 years, she has focused on private practice. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas in 2000 and a Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2005.

In 2013, Jennifer became a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP).
