Advice and Tips...

Ask For Help

Sometimes the hardest thing can be reaching out and asking for help. If that is something you are struggling to do then we want to encourage you! Asking for help doesn't make you seem weak or dramatic, asking for help is the best thing you can do for yourself and is truly brave.

Manage Stress

Stress can be a large factor in many peoples lives that affects their mental health on a deeper level than they realize. If it's possible, make an effort to cut out the things that may be adding any unnecessary stress to your life. Spend time with people who care about you and that make you feel seen and valued. Additionally, taking time for yourself to rest and get enough sleep is an important factor that will improve your mental health and reduce stress.

Choosing a Counselor

Picking a counselor that you get along with can be very important to making sure your counseling experience goes well. Make sure to research your counselor or speak with them to make sure that your personal values and belief system aligns with theirs and how they may be advising you.

Getting Exercise

Although it can be hard at first, spending a little time each day or week exercising has been proven to help with many peoples mental health and well being. Simply going on a walk or doing a light work out can help you focus on something different and help your body by releasing endorphins.

How Can Tele-Therapy Be Helpful to You?

There are a number of reasons why Tele-Therapy can be more beneficial then regular counseling. For some patients, Tele-Therapy can help them to feel more comfortable during their counseling session. If a doctors office or more formal setting makes a patient feel uncomfortable, Tele-Therapy can help to break down that barrier and make them feel at ease from the comfort of their own home. This can be beneficial because in turn it allows patients to speak more freely and openly about what they may be dealing with to the counselor. Although Tele-Therapy may not be the best choice for everyone, for some people it can be extremely beneficial and helpful. We would love to speak with you more about Tele-Therapy and how it can benefit you. Give us a call or email us today to learn more!
